Description
This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created directly for the working deck. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the tarot image about 6×10 inches, framed by hand-applied metal foil that shifts in the light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
The 5 of Cups shows a seated figure with their head down, arms wrapped around their knees. In front of them are cups, some upright and some spilled, liquid pooling on the ground. The figure and scene are drawn in purple and magenta tones with cross-hatched linework.
