This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created directly for the working deck. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the tarot image about 6×10 inches, framed by hand-applied metal foil that shifts in the light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
The 6 of Swords focuses on a hand clutching a length of rope tied in a knot. Part of the figure’s legs and torso are visible, bent as if mid-movement. Strong orange and red tones emphasize transition and a sense of passage, while the rope grounds the moment in tactile detail.
