This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created for the working deck itself. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the central tarot image about 6×10 inches, bordered by hand-applied metal foil that shimmers in changing light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
In The Ace of Wands, a hand grips a lighter, its flame bursting upward in a shower of sparks. Painted in fiery reds, oranges, and yellows, the image captures ignition, the first spark of will and creation.
