This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created directly for the working deck. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the tarot image about 6×10 inches, framed by hand-applied metal foil that shifts in the light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
The Queen of Swords shows a crowned figure wearing a short skirt and fishnet stockings, topless with one arm raised behind their head. In their other hand, they hold a chalk pencil. Another sword symbol is drawn on the dark chalkboard behind them, reinforcing the sharp clarity of the suit.
