Description
This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created for the working deck itself. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the central tarot image about 6×10 inches, bordered by hand-applied metal foil that shimmers in shifting light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
In Temperance, balance is found through ritual and restraint. A serene figure stands barefoot with a length of blue rope flowing through their hands, their expression calm and inward-focused. To the side, fire flickers, offering both danger and illumination. Painted in cool tones of blue, lavender, and white against a green ground, the card captures harmony as an active practice—blending opposites, tending flame and flow, and finding equilibrium within movement.
