This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created directly for the working deck. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the tarot image about 6×10 inches, framed by hand-applied metal foil that shifts in the light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
The 3 of Cups shows three men gathered around a table, each smoking a cigar. Their drinks sit in front of them, and the smoke rises above in curling, spiral forms. The scene is drawn in purples and blues with cross-hatched linework.
