Description
This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created directly for the working deck. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the tarot image about 6×10 inches, framed by hand-applied metal foil that shifts in the light. Signed on the front, bottom right.
The 4 of Swords shows a figure seated on the ground, body folded with their head resting on their knees. Their arms drape loosely forward, palms touching the floor. In front of them, four blades rest upright, marking stillness and pause. The scene is drawn in pink and red tones with layered linework.
