Description

A single agapanthus stands in full bloom — a round head of small trumpet-shaped flowers in lavender and blue, held up on a tall stalk over a base of long, strap-shaped leaves. The flowers are packed tight into a globe; the leaves fan out below in green, worked over with dark linework. The paper is left white, so the plant reads bright and lit rather than set against shade.

The flower is drawn in acrylic paint pen. Though the name agapanthus comes from the Greek for “flower of love,” Nadia’s mom calls them lilies of the Nile. If they bring you the same nostalgic joy, this one belongs in your home.
