Description
A green-toned nude sits among cattails with knees drawn up and arms crossed, blindfolded and gagged with cloth wraps, breasts framed in a rope harness, head bowed to one side. To the right a Canada goose stands nearly as tall as the seated figure, its black head and neck turned in toward her, its pale cheek-patch catching the light. The scene is keyed mostly to deep green — figure, reeds, water, and background all pulled toward the same hue — but worked through with earthy browns and touches of metallic gold and copper that catch the light, with the black of the goose’s neck landing as the single darkest note. Water ripples in concentric rings around the figure’s feet.
