Description
This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created for the working deck itself. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the central tarot image about 6×10 inches, bordered by hand-applied metal foil that flashes and shifts in the light.
In this version of Strength, power is expressed not through taming but through embodied surrender and control. A bearded, lion-like figure crawls forward on hands and knees, their gaze intense and unflinching, a chain resting across their shoulders. Behind them, a dominant figure in thigh-high boots holds the chain loosely, commanding presence without force. Painted in bold jewel tones of orange, gold, and blue, the card explores strength as the balance between vulnerability and power.
One-of-a-kind, signed on the back. A standalone artwork and a living fragment of the tarot deck.
