This original painting is part of the 78-piece Demand & Delight tarot series, created for the working deck itself. The piece measures 9×12 inches, with the central tarot image about 6×10 inches, bordered by hand-applied metal foil that gleams as the light shifts. Signed on the front, bottom right.
In The High Priestess, knowledge is layered, concealed, and revealed only in fragments. A pale mask is held between spectral blue hands—one lifting, one pressing—its blank eyes gazing upward in silence. Against a star-speckled night, the figure becomes both seer and secret, embodying intuition that resists full exposure. Painted in cool shades of blue and indigo, the card speaks to hidden wisdom, distance, and the power of what remains just out of reach.
