Description
A pale-haired figure is seen in profile, eyes closed and head slightly bowed, crossed wrists bound in red cord and drawn up near the chin. A scarlet macaw alights at the shoulder with its wings thrown wide, red plumage banded with blue and gold, its head coming to rest close to the figure. Behind the head a faceted gold halo glows like a stained-glass sun, big monstera leaves bank up across the whole lower half of the scene, and a dark moon hangs at the right against a deep blue-green night. The scarlet of the cord and the bird is the one warm note against the cool, leafy dark.
